“Proud Santaneros” is a storytelling initiative celebrating the residents and small business owners of Santa Ana who embody the city’s pride, creativity, and resilience. Designed as an ongoing video series, the project highlights the voices of artists, restaurateurs, business owners, and other community members who each contribute to the cultural fabric of Santa Ana.
The goal of Proud Santaneros is to authentically showcase Santa Ana’s identity through the people who call it home. By featuring real locals, the campaign builds civic pride, amplifies diverse voices, and positions Santa Ana as a destination rooted in originality and community spirit.
Locals were filmed answering the question: What makes you a Proud Santanero? In addition, each participant shared their personal recommendations for visitors, spotlighting the city’s independent bu“When it’s Santa Ana vs. Everybody, Always Bet on Us”—captures the city’s unwavering pride and sense of community.
The project launched with a diverse mix of participants to reflect the inclusivity of Santa Ana, with additional stories continually added to the series. This ongoing format ensures the initiative evolves and grows, strengthening engagement and representation across neighborhoods and industries.
