The CBRE content marketing team created The Weekly Take podcast 5 years ago to own the conversation on the topics that matter most to our clients, through regular conversations with established industry experts, innovative sector specialists and our own business leaders’ perspectives on what’s driving commercial real estate in a bold, modern, human way.
While the podcast was developed and launched in a matter of days to answer the need for guidance at the outset of the covid-19 pandemic, we monitored our performance data closely, surveyed listeners regularly and developed a fluid editorial strategy and digestible format that fills a significant gap in the market - the delivery of a timely, provocative POVs on commercial real estate, economic and investment topics that can be easily consumed, flex with market movements and connect to our to business value.
At the start of the initiative, we set out to create a content vehicle that could prime conversations with clients and prospects and which we felt could grow an opt-in subscriber base. Both goals have been overwhelmingly achieved. By offering insights earned through experience, backed by data and delivered in a human tone, we created an audio franchise that resonated with our existing audience, reached new audiences and set us apart in our industry. Each week we continue to see proactive interest from the leadership of new and existing clients to be on the podcast and add to the conversation. By integrating our podcast with our business priorities, we're able to:
