Valorant / Mischief and Corruption / Oni Skin Reveal Trailer

Riot Games approached us to produce a trailer to introduce their new Japanese samurai themed skins for their tactical hero shooter game, Valorant.

We were excited to take on the challenge of bringing the weapons’ Oni masks to life in a high-impact 2D style while also ensuring a seamless transition to gameplay. It was a blast developing each weapon reveal, using dynamic animation and FX to match the mystical and mischievous personalities of the Oni masks.

Riot’s team in Japan guided us on the accurate representation of mask carving and sword forging traditions, which was a great learning experience for our artists as well. It was truly a collaborative and rewarding project, which is evident in the quality of the final output.
